We visited Cairo for five days, and it was a whirlwind to say the least. We’d love to say it was a whirlwind because we spent each day exploring new neighborhoods and meeting new people, but if we’re being honest, this was not the case. Everything was sensory overload to the max. Normally we would have covered lots of ground in a city (and sometimes two or three cities) with this amount of time, but this time around, we spent most of our time exploring Zamalek, the neighborhood we were staying in.
